Title IX is a comprehensive federal law that prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex in any federally funded education program or activity. This harassment/discrimination policy defines and prohibits harassment on the basis of federal and state law as interpreted by the courts. If statutory provisions, regulatory guidance, or court interpretations change or conflict with this policy, the university’s policy can be deemed amended as of the time of the decision, ruling or legislative enactment to assure continued compliance.
